#undomanipossibile is the dream of many children and young refugees, who come to Italy alone to escape crisis in their homeland.
The initiative represents a step forward in making that dream come true.
#undomanipossibile is the hashtag used to promote the Never Alone, a call for proposal that was presented this morning as part of the European initiative EPIM (European Programme for Integration and Migration), in collaboration with Cariplo Foundation, Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, Enel Cuore, Fondazione con il Sud Foundation, CRT Foundation, Savings Bank of Cuneo Foundation, Savings Bank of Padova and Rovigo Foundation and Monte dei Paschi di Siena Foundation, with the patronage of ACRI (Association of Italian Foundations and Savings Banks).
A budget of 3.5 million euros was allocated for this important call for proposal, aimed at public-private partnerships throughout the country.
A call for proposal that aims to ensure a future for young refugees in Italy, offering viable solutions to facilitate their integration process.
“Unaccompanied foreign minors flee extreme conditions of war and poverty, often without protection and at the risk of not having a future in a foreign country. With the call for proposal Never Alone, Enel Cuore and other foundations aim to provide a concrete solution to their needs, promoting the development of effective integration processes to guarantee their inclusion and support” – declared Andrea Valcalda, Managing Director of Enel Cuore.
We will carry out initiatives to strengthen the integration of foreign minors and young people in Italy and to ensure that effective long-term inclusion processes are in place, acting upon multiple fields of action: support, education, training, supporting their transition to adult independence, strengthening and supporting foster care services and voluntary guardianship programmes, support and guidance for young girls.
Enel Cuore and the other foundations involved in the initiative are preparing to face a challenge of primary importance, which affects all of us directly and which sees Italy at the forefront in Europe: a challenge that sees #undomanipossibile, a better future, on the horizon.
