Villa Minozzo, Fare Scuola between School and Territory

Villa Minozzo is not only a primary school. It is also an important gathering place, attended by children from the sparsely populated small towns and villages of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.

Through their project Fare Scuola, Enel Cuore and the Reggio Children Foundation have renewed and given a new life to this educational centre, welcoming children and teachers.

The project has brought about the creation of five new classrooms, a computer room, and two multipurpose rooms, located within the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, enhancing not only the actual structure but also the external area. Fare Scuola has brought the pedagogical value of school activities outdoors, turning the outdoor area into a place that offers direct contact with nature, the surrounding landscape, and the structure that has been created.

We like to think of Villa Minozzo as a new and improved school, one that is built day by day, by promoting and enhancing its surroundings, the land, community, and relationships.
