The Centro Italiano di Solidarietà don Mario Picchi (CeIS don Mario Picchi) (Italian Centre of Solidarity Don Mario Picchi) is a non-profit organisation that was founded in Rome in 1971.

Over the years, CeIS Don Mario Picchi has created a complex integrated network of services.

The project mainly focuses on: fighting addiction (prevention, guidance, assistance and rehabilitation); home-based care for people with HIV and AIDS; assistance and support for separated fathers; assistance and support for women who are victims of domestic violence.

CeIS aims to create a highly professional and efficient network of services revolving around its new shelter for mothers and children in need (Shelter + Related Services), which can accommodate as many as 15-18 individuals.

The centre welcomes women in difficult living conditions: women in an advanced stage of pregnancy, new mothers looking after one or more children in a state of social hardship, victims of domestic violence, pregnant single teenagers or women who have requested precautionary measures against family members.

The goal of the integrated intervention model, which is both multi-disciplinary and inter-institutional, is to provide the necessary assistance and guidance aimed at achieving the individual’s economic and employment self-sufficiency, as well as an independent housing condition, through an effective management of expenses, time and work.

The CeIS-owned property is located in Rome’s Ardeatino district and Enel Cuore’s contribution will be used to renovate the facilities.
