For people with multiple sclerosis, the right to mobility is of even greater importance.
During the month of June, AISM’s Provincial Unit in Potenza received a new means of transport, thanks to Enel Cuore Onlus’ donation: a Fiat Doblò van equipped with a mobile ramp lift.
Thanks to this vehicle, individuals with multiple sclerosis can request to be transported and move more freely.
The van was presented to the Potenza AISM last year on June 4, at the scientific conference “Sclerosi multipla: nuove terapie, gestione dei sintomi, ricerca di eccellenza” (Multiple Sclerosis: new forms of therapy, symptom management, the pursuit of excellence”, an event organised by the Potenza AISM, in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.
The objective of the conference was to inform and update participants on the progress of research on multiple sclerosis and to raise community awareness of this neurodegenerative disease.
We are proud to have participated in this project. Knowing that people who suffer from this disease will have the opportunity to be transported on a new means that ensures them the right to mobility, makes our work very meaningful.
