Fast&Future

Hospitality, training and job orientation for disadvantaged young people with the Borgo Ragazzi Don Bosco association

{{item.title}}

Unemployment has an impact above all on the weakest population, such as young people with a low level of education, also due to dropping out of school, looking for a first job or in conditions of economic and social disadvantage.

The Borgo Ragazzi Don Bosco Association’s commitment takes place in this context, working for young people since 1948, especially for those who live in difficult situations. With Fast&Future, the project we support, the Association wants to bring them hospitality and education and work training, two actions capable of truly integrating young people into the national social system.

Fast&Future’s activities aim to respond to the condition of social and work exclusion of various young people who share a need for immediate employability, who fall into categories such as those of NEETs: young people aged 16 to 24, including Ukraine refugees or those in alternative measures to prison, who need to enter the world of work.

To these beneficiaries are added unaccompanied minors aged 16 to 18, coming from Family Homes or justice centers (such as the Juvenile Justice Center in Lazio, Abruzzo and Molise) or who lost their job due to Covid-19 Pandemic.

The aim is to provide services capable of supporting these young people in the transition from the educational system to the workplace with a professional training that also promotes their human and personal growth, preventing and contrasting situations of hardship and social exclusion. The proposed actions are designed for the individual beneficiary, calibrating the activities according to their skills and difficulties thanks to an initial phase of welcoming and listening guided by educators and pedagogists. Only later, the association will choose the most suitable training path, to which will be added orientation and support activities for job placement, the activation of extra-curricular internships and the monitoring of the paths undertaken by young people, to support them in strengthening and in acquiring skills over time.
