The Enel Group’s charitable organisation has earmarked resources to support the Civil Protection agency. The initiative is part of a wide-ranging programme of measures and projects destined specifically for the main social and healthcare organisations throughout Italy and involves a total donation of 23 million euro.

Enel Cuore, the Enel Group’s charitable organisation, is standing alongside the Marche regional administration to tackle the health emergency caused by the COVID-19 virus. Enel Cuore has already granted donations to the regional administration led by president Luca Ceriscioli. These are earmarked in particular for the Civil Protection agency and to support the region’s hospitals and healthcare facilities.

This donation will enable the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as equipment for some hospitals in the Marche region, such as those belonging to the hospital trusts l’Azienda Ospedaliera Ospedali Riuniti Marche Nord in Pesaro and Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Ospedali Riuniti Ancona Umberto I-G.M. Lancisi-G. Salesi in Ancona. Equipment will also be provided for the new COVID-19 hospital being created in the city, which is the regional capital.
