Enel Cuore, the Enel Group’s non-profit, stands with Piedmont’s regional administration to support the main organisations working to respond to the health emergency caused by the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

In particular, resources have been earmarked for the expansion of units dedicated to COVID-19 patients and the purchase of medical equipment and PPEs for the region’s healthcare facilities, on the frontline of the crisis.

“We would like to thank Enel for this act of generosity at a complicated and difficult time for us all”, underlined the President of the Piedmont Regional Authority Alberto Cirio and the region’s assessors for healthcare, Luigi Icardi, and for the Civil Protection agency, Marco Gabusi. “An emergency requires extraordinary resources, including financial ones, and this donation provides significant help to the entire region”.

Enel Cuore has allocated a total of 23 million euro in response to the COVID-19 emergency. This donation will fund projects all across Italy, including initiatives that have already been identified as well as others that will soon be selected, thanks to the open dialogue and constant coordination with the Civil Protection agency and national and regional institutions on the frontline against the spread of the virus.
