The “TennistavolOltre Plus” project continues its path, to the full satisfaction of all the protagonists who contribute to its success. In the 2021-2022 school year, the Federazione Italiana Tennistavolo confirmed its trust in the initiative, which has again received official recognition from the Ministry of Education and will be able to count on the fundamental support of Enel Cuore, the non-profit organization of the Enel Group, in its role as supporter and co-financier.

The activity started in the 2018/2019 school year and was addressed, throughout the country, to pupils with disabilities in all school levels, with the aim of promoting social integration and approaching sports practice, as a relevant component of their training. In the table tennis lessons included in the curricular timetable, more than a thousand disabled pupils were involved, about eighty schools, distributed in 13 regions, and 30 provinces.

The next edition of 2019/2020, interrupted due the pandemic, has restarted during 2021 in a reduced version for the impossibility of realizing the program with participants in presence. Despite of it, numbers were very comforting withmore than 700 students with disabilities interested, in addition to their able-bodied companions, who acted as “tutors”, for a total of 49 schools located in 17 provinces of 7 Italian regions. FITET proceeded with the purchase of game tables, rackets and balls kits and souvenir T-shirts and sent them to schools, which kept all the material delivered in their availability.

For the third edition "TennistavolOltre Plus" comes back with the aim to represent, not only for children but even for their families and teachers involved in seminars, an important educational instrument aimed to let us know the sport's benefits through table tennis.106 institutes of 36 provinces and 12 regions had been involved, with 1900 students.

To tell how the project will be present in a school, next May 5 on Thursday there will be an event at the Colozza-Bonfiglio Institute of Palermo which hosts two plexus, one for elementary classes and one for middle school. Interviews will be recorded with local institutional and sports authorities and with some FITeT representatives and footage of the planned tennis activities will be made, highlighting students with disabilities, tutors, technicians and support teachers. A child, a parent and a technician will be interviewed.

In 2020 Enel Cuore Onlus financed, in collaboration with the Reggio Children Foundation at the Colozza-Bonfiglio Institute in the complex of the Scipione di Castro primary school, the refurbishment of the canteen, which was transformed into a Food Lab: a new refectory for students' lunch, including spaces for dialogue or reading and a kitchen also dedicated to workshops and observations on food, activities also supported by the new pool for cultivating the vegetable garden, placed immediately outside.
