San Domenico, a reference point for people in need in Reggio Calabria

The Associazione San Domenico has been operating in Reggio Calabria since 2008, with the support of volunteer professionals able to provide health, legal and social assistance to people living in situations of hardship and economic difficulties.

Our support has contributed to the renovation of a building of about 200 square meters, transforming it into a new social canteen capable of offering up to 100 meals a day and into a recreational club for the elderlyfor recreational and cultural activities.

This way, the Associazione San Domenico becomes an important point of reference for the local community in a suburban context without similar services.

All this in addition to the services already offered by the Association: a nursing care center, ambulance services and the counseling center, created thanks to the Dominican friars who made part of the premises of their convent available for carrying out those activities.
