In the urban suburbs of Rome, where opportunities often seem most distant and daily challenges most intense, we believe that every young person deserves the chance to build their own future. This is where the most authentic dreams are born and where change can really make a difference. As Enel Cuore, we know that investing in territories means investing in people, and that sports can become the universal language of hope and growth. Gruppo Sportivo Montespaccato was born in 2023 from a story of redemption. This amateur sports club is the result of a path of popular shareholding promoted by the public services company Asilo Savoia, which gave back to the community the former “Polisportiva Dilettantistica Montespaccato,” taken away from criminality and now named after Don Pino Puglisi, a symbol of courage and legality. This reality adheres to the “Talento & Tenacia-Crescere nella Legalità (“Talent & Tenacity-Growing in Legality”) program, an initiative that since 2016 has united important institutional forces such as the Ministry of Sport, the Lazio Region and Roma Capitale. The goal is as ambitious as it is necessary: to use sport as a tool for social inclusion and youth participation, transforming assets confiscated from crime into spaces of growth and opportunity for young people in the suburbs. We chose to support the “Don Pino Puglisi Community Civic Space” because we believe in the transformative power of sport and education. For the 2025-2026 season, our support will make it possible to concretely reach 400 young people in the area, offering them concrete tools to build their future. The project consists of several integrated actions that touch on all aspects of youth growth. We will ensure 100 educational support interventions, which include 40 school performance awards to enhance commitment to study, 30 grants for vocational training courses, and 30 college scholarships. Because we believe that every talent deserves to be nurtured, regardless of the economic starting conditions. Sports will be the beating heart of the project: 200 children between the ages of 13 and 18 will be able to participate in soccer activities for free, even receiving personalized sports kits that will proudly bear the Enel Cuore logo. It's not just about playing soccer, but learning core values such as respect, cooperation and determination. Another 100 young people will have free access to extra-sports activities, because personal growth also comes through discovering new passions and skills. Maintenance and renewal of equipment will complete the picture, to ensure safe and welcoming spaces where every boy can feel at home. Supporting the Montespaccato Sports Group means more to us than just funding sports and educational activities. It is an act of trust in a community that has chosen to turn over a new leaf, turning a symbol of lawlessness into a beacon of hope for hundreds of young people.
