In many areas of our country, children and young people grow up in contexts of economic and social hardship that limit their educational, relational and growth opportunities. In these environments, sport can represent not only an opportunity for recreation, but above all a powerful tool for emancipation, inclusion and harmonious development. This is the spirit in which Sport Senza Frontiere ETS works. The organisation was founded in 2011 with the aim of combating educational poverty through integrated sports and educational programmes. The association now operates in numerous Italian cities, including Rome, Milan, Turin, Naples, Bari and Cagliari, involving children and young people at risk in sports activities within a supportive network of affiliated clubs. Each child is supported by a team of educators, psychologists and sports tutors, who also accompany families on a shared journey of growth. Access to sports is made possible thanks to a model that provides psycho-pedagogical support, medical examinations and, when necessary, a dedicated transport service. The new ‘Joy Summer Camp Adventure and Winter Camp’ project, promoted by Sport Senza Frontiere, aims to involve a total of around 1,000 children aged between 6 and 17, offering them a real opportunity to get closer to the world of Olympic winter sports through direct and educational experiences. Enel Cuore is renewing its support for the association for the two-year period 2025-2026, contributing to the creation of three residential sports camps. Thanks to this initiative, 90 children will have the opportunity to spend a week completely immersed in the world of the Winter Olympic Games: they will try out different disciplines, learn about the history and protagonists of the Olympics and, above all, experience its founding values - respect, tenacity, friendship, commitment and teamwork. Supporting this project means continuing to believe in a future where every child, regardless of their circumstances, can feel like an active part of a vibrant and supportive community.
